Dear friend,
during my recent short stay in London I was struck by two unrelated sentences:
-
“So this is what it feels like to match wits with someone at your level!” - lyrics from Satisfied (Hamilton ), by Lin-Manuel Miranda, seen at the Victoria Palace Theatre, with Jordan Frazier in the role of Angelica Schuyler
-
“I met a guy who plays the same game I played.” - Yoko Ono, describing her first encounter with John Lennon; from the text panels in Ono’s Music of the Mind exhibition at Tate Modern
Without claiming any particular level of wit, I found myself longing again for the feeling of meeting someone on my same wavelength.
P.S.: The official story about Apple Corps’ logo points to my beloved René Magritte’s Le Jeu de Mourre instead
